Late decision to make the trip to PE

After a disappointing outing at Red Star Raceway at the last national, where a pinched nerve spoilt any chance of a good result, I wasn’t going to make the trip to Port Elizabeth for the final round of the season. Some hard work by my medical team found the issue and I have been working with them to get back to full strength without having to have an operation.

I tested my progress at the regional race meeting at Killarney Raceway last weekend and came away with both heat wins. After such a positive race/test I knew we had to give the final national a go. We also used this regional race as a test to work on fuel maps for the new Rapid bike Evo system in the 2020 R1. Thanks to Rapid Bike SA for the support. With both the bike and me feeling good the hopes are high to end the season with a strong performance.
